Bleached
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The red colour of this bug, Graphosoma lineatum, appears bleached by the sunlight.
The species is a mmediterranean one but enlarges its areal to the north. It is not present in northern Germany. Thus, the Ruhr-District, where I took the picture is one of the most northern places of the species.

Hi Peter,
Really nice. I love those stripes and the texturing of its body. A very unique species for sure. Why would it bleach in color? Maybe it changes color with maturity, like dragonflies do. Just curious is all. Well done.
Denis.
