[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I think it is not necessery to say many words on this well-known spider
-- Araneus diadematus.
It's now spider season in middle Europe and it is possible to observe many spiders in many different often unique situations.
Nice to see this massive spider attached to one stretched very thin but obviously very strong fibre - attached only by the tips of its legs. However, to increase security the spider is connected to the 'rope' by an additional short fibre which can be seen on the picture.

Due to movements of the web or the fibre caused by slight wind only, it is often not easy to obtain sharp pictures of a spider by means of a macro-objective. Position of the spider with respect to incoming light is in most cases also not optimal. Here, I had the fortune of favourable conditions.

- Bright sun light
- no tripod, no flash

Interesting shot of the Garden Cross Spider ready to speed along his line. Very nicely composed with great sharpness and beautiful colours.
Thanks, Ulla

Hallo Peter,

Saludos... Ricardo

Good macro Peter, with a different, but very pleasant POV.
Excellent sharpness that shows the details of the spider.
DOF is very appropriate not only achieving the exact focus, but also a very appropriate background.
Greetings... Ricardo
