[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at Stuttgart Zoo - Wilhelma,
Butterfly Hall

The Butterfly Hall in the centre of the Insectarium does not only have a lot on offer in the way of lovely butterflies – it also has a great show of plants. It is laid out like a tropical garden, with palms, luxuriant green and a colourful array of blossoms. All the plants to be found there have been chosen above all according to what the voracious caterpillars, which are once to become butterflies, do not like to eat, for otherwise the House would soon be eaten bare. For the butterflies, on the other hand, many nectar-bearing plants are there for them to feed or land on, for instance hibiscus, abutilon, lantana (Spanish flag plant) and many other plants in addition.

A finely formed specimen in its prime Sochirca, your sharply focused shot perfectly displays the salient characteristics of this b.fly from a good, lateral viewpoint. The dark BG suits this vertical composition quite well. TFS this.

De belles couleurs bien voyantes !
Bonne journée.

Nice color, detail, DOF, and flashwork Sochirca.
I like the comp, POV, and dark BG that sets-off your subject also.
Well done!

Very interesting shot of the two butterflies together. Very crisp and clear.
