This Weevil certainly looks like a 'beast of burden' to me, Sabine!
What an amusing capture and technically so very outstanding! I know water droplets have been your favourite theme, but to have two themes together here is a miracle of sorts.
Thanks for sharing this picture Siggi would find quite entertaining.

Hi Sabine,
you definitely and always managing to presents images with a bit more than a species introduction and this tiny droplets are just the flavor of the shot here. Truly a photographic pinnacle similar to the spectacular of the German football national team yesterday! Well done indeed! Breathtaking!

es ist Die ein toller Schuss gelungen. Der prächtig schillernde Käfer, schwer beladen mit Tand und mit starren Blick, das alles erinnert mich mächtig an einen Diktator aus südlichen Gefilden. Die ID ist knifflig mit den vielen grünen Rüsselkäfer- Arten, aber Du hast die Hürde gut genommen.

The capture of the droplets of water on the insect is an asset to the composition. The leaves are framing well the insect. The close-ip view is showing the details and colors of the weevil. The late afternoon light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.
