[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
From what I observed, the wild boar spend most of there time pushing their noses under the leaves on fall days looking for food. The only natural preditor of the wild boar in this area would be wolves.

According to one study, "German wild boar litters have six to eight piglets on average, other countries usually only about four or five." (see uk.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE4927U020081003)

Here's another shot of two boars on TrekEarth from the same day and location http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Germany/West/Bayern//photo1257214.htm

nice shot with good focus! don't know if I want to be so close ! 200mm lens

Hi Dan,
A wild boar is something we don't see a lot of on this site. Very sharp portrait with really good details of the hair and leaves.
