Glad to see your truly professional work after a long time, Pam.
I notice it is the very fresh image you took in Germany.
Reminds me of the glory days of TN when photo artists of your calibre were active and made us novices look at your work with beady-eyed adoration.
Thanks and best regards.

I remember the 1st time I saw one of these birds on the gallery was when Manyee did a posting of one of them standing quite close to a pond of water. I was amazed by the shape of the headpart and the built of the bird, and actually it was such a comical animal to look at. Its face reminds me very much about the shoe Cinderella dropped for the prince to pick up. I must say, I am quite jealous about this bird's blue eyes, as they are really beautiful and has magnetism that draw one to look and look again. This is a fantastic portrait. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Probably because of the grey colour, this image did not appeal to me much in thumbnail but I opened it as I am not familiar with this bird and what a nice surprise! It is just beautiful, mainly because of the great definition and the striking eye. Very well presented too.

Last summer I've visited that birdpark for a few days. I made hundreds of photos there. They got amazing birds. This is one of them.
Fantastic portrait of this Shoebill Stork. Perfect sharpness and details. Beautiful natural colours against a very nice blurred BG. Excellent choice of composition.

What a wonderful (and comical) portrait of this shoebill stork.
It is an amazing bird to start off with,
but with those feathers sticking out on his head... It is priceless!
Great focus, exposure, and DOF.
TFS. : )
