[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At first sight, this small beetle jsut about 7 mm in length looks like a ladybird of the family Coccinellidae. However, it is
- Melasoma vigintipunctata
- family: Chrysomelidae

The species is less abundant than our common ladybirds. It is found on several trees/bushes such as Salix and Populus but also on Alnus and Betulus.

Sorry, that the focus is not well placed on the head!

Hello Peter,
An excellent macro for such a small species of Chrysomelid beetle. The lateral/ dorsal POV is very good and shows the features with top sharpness where it matters and the colours are natural with the clean BG ideal for showing it well.

Lieber Peter,
Diesen Käfer hab ich noch nie gesehen oder wegen seiner kleinen Grösse übersehen..
Wie üblich gute Bildschärfe, es ist doch immer sehr schwer den Fokus genau auf die Augen zu fixieren, da diese Kreaturen so klein sind. Mir fällt das auch sehr schwer.
Immer interessant etwas ein wenig Ungewöhnlicheres zu sehen.
War sehr schön im Wallis :-)
