|This picture shows a Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) on the island of Norderney. It is one individual of a flock of about twenty birds sitting in the grasswort of the salt marshes of the island. Thanks to Merlin who gave the ID to me.|

Turnstone Arenaria interpres. It is a colourful image of the bird in its environment, and the only issue I have with it is the rather harsh contrast.
