Looking like it has four legs!

The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a large owl of the typical owl family Strigidae. It is also known in North America as the Arctic Owl or the Great White Owl.

This huge yellow-eyed white bird is unmistakable. It is 53-65 cm long with a 125-150 cm wingspan. The adult male is virtually pure white, but females and young birds have some dark scalloping. Its thick plumage, heavily-feathered feet, and coloration render the Snowy Owl well-adapted for life north of the Arctic Circle.

Hi Biswarup,
Nice capture of this stunning bird. Good colour balance and DOF. I think the exposure is a tad hot on the whites on the owls head. I'd probably also tried to shoot this in portrait orientation as well as landscape.

Hello Biswarup,
Simply gorgeous this snowy Owl.
I like how their white stand ups over the rest of the photo.
Detials on the feather, beak and eyes are great.
Composition is pleasant and I like the frame used also.
Congratulations and happy holidays!

Hello Biswarup,
This is a fine bird and very well photographed!
The white plumage is captured with amazing details...
Well composed presentation, good clarity in colours!

Very nice picture of this snow owl. The colours and details are fantastic! Good job!

I took a similar picture from a snow owl, which you can see in my collection, but fortunately with the wrong lens... :( He also looks a bit mean ;)

Greetings, Geert
