Crocus laevigatus Bory & Chaub. 1832
Family: Iridaceae
Crocus laevigatus is a species of flowering plant in the genus Crocus of the family Iridaceae, endemic to Kriti, Greece. The flowers usually appear before the leaves, typical of the crocuses having 6 pale translucent tepals, 3 stigmas and 3 stamens supported on a smooth narrow tube. The perianth is pale mauve with 3 darker lines on the outer surface, the centre is pale yellow and the stamens and finely branched stigmas are bright yellow. |
