The Balkan Whip Snake, Hierophis gemonensis, is a species of snake in the Colubridae family. It is found in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Serbia and Montenegro, and Slovenia. Its natural habitats are Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, pastureland, plantations, and rural gardens.

you are a man to watch, Giorgos, your picture collection is really building up nicely and it allows me to learn more about the Greek fauna and flora. I like the portrait of this "Balkan-Zornnatter". It is high in color with the direct sunlight . Thanks for presenting it.
