Hi Lou,impressive macro of this emerald wasp,great capture very sharp and bright. I never seen before a wasp sleeping in this way,the pic in the WS is a great scoop! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hi Laurens,
a wasp that goes to sleep in a ball, who has seen that before ! Thank you for your many instructive workshops that go with your presentations. I try to learn from you: you must use a screened flash or a ring flash to have this diffuse illumination so important for metallic looking insects.
The Swiss painter and entomologist Walter Linsenmaier depicted many Chrysididae and Buprestidae. When I was a boy his drawings fascinated me and made me interested in beetles and in taking macros. You bring memories back, Laurens !
