[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken from the peak of Skolio (2911m). You can see (from right to the left) - Skala (2866m), Mytikas (2918m - Olympos) and Stefani (2908m).
I was on the peak of Skolio, Skala and Mytikas on Sunday, 26th of August.
During our holiday we were sunbathing in Nei Pori on the Aegean Sea coast. It was beautiful. I also was two times in mountains. This photo was taken during my first trek. I had to use train (two stops) and hitch-haking. People was very friendly, so I could have done my trip. I left our apartment at 6.00 and could have started from Prionia (about 1050m) at 7.50, went through Agapitos Refuge (A Refuge - about 2100m), Skala (2866m), Mytikas (2918m), Skala again, Skolio (2911m), and again Agapitos Refuge and Prionia and Litochoro (beautiful town under Olympus, 5km from Aegean Sea coast). Because I started at 7.50 the temperature was quite good for walking. I tooks me about 1hour 45 minutes to reach refuge (1050m - 2100m - very fast), and another 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach a peak. But because of my good speed I overtook a temperature (normally 100m = -0,5 Celsius degrees - so at the peak it was about 15 Celsius degress less then on coast). The way between Skala and Mytikas is quite difficult and dangerous, but if you have some mountain experience, it's not too dangerous and difficult.
I'm very proud that I was on the highest peak of Greece. Beautiful views. Excellent!

The tight frame is putting the mountain in evidence. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the mountain. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Very impressive rocky peaks in Greece you climbed up to during your sojourn in that country last summer, Maciej.
From your vantage point, the degree of difficulty involved in climbing them is quite obvious.
A very crisp picture with equally sharp details in the foreground too.

Thanks for sharing this great image that has lots of educational value to it. I like the variation of colours of all aspects of nature seen together in one frame.
