It seems that some TN members could not resist to the charming glance of females lizards… My duty is to warn them… If you see the ticks on the back of this charming lizard, you will understand what I mean :)
In French, a proverb said : « Celui qui dort avec le chien, se réveille avec les puces », Those who sleep with dog will rise with fleas…

Anatololacerta oertzeni oertzeni (Werner, 1904)
Family : Lacertidae
Common names: Oertzen’s Rock Lizard (EN), Örtzen Kertenkelesi (TU), Τουρκική Σαύρα (GR)

Anatololacerta (Anatolian Rock Lizards) genus includes more closely related three species which are mainly endemic to Anatolia: Anatololacerta anatolica, Anatololacerta oertzeni and Anatololacerta danfordi. They are known from the Western and SW Turkey and some neighbouring Aegean islands including Samos, Ikaria and Rhodes.

Anatololacerta oertzeni is listed as Least Concern, in the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) Red List, in view of its wide distribution, presumed large population, and because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category. It is declining on the island of Rhodes, but remains common on the surrounding islets. The forest fires are a major threat.

Anatololacerta oertzeni oertzeni is a subspecies endemic to Ikaria island.

For more info about Anatololacerta genus, see the extensive note and a photo of Anatololacerta anatolica anatolica made by our friend Bayram Göçmen.

Hahaha:)) Thank you M ₰ F Catherine:)

Firstly, i think some stones came to my head:) But in this case, i have to state that an another proverb "love me, love my dog!. Hehe... Althgout she has mites on her flank, she has still capricious (₰-i am sure you know this sign:D) glances;-)
Secondly, thanks a lot that you showed us a really significant document regarding some parasitic visitors of our lizard beauties;
Thirdly, I indebted to you since “you showed respect to labor”, although we could see some contrary examples:) that you also detected.
And finally, thanks for sharing this charming beauty which is also the Greek cousin of our Turkish Anatolian Rock lizard with us:)
Have a great night arkadaşım!
İyi geceler,

Bayram

Have a nice weekend, best regards, László
