After a colorful jewel beetle, a tiny black hairy jewel beetle (Buprestidae). With many thanks to Bayram GÖÇMEN and Nikola RAHMÉ for the ID.

Acmaeodera (Carininota) farinosa (Reiche, 1856).
Family: Buprestidae

Acmaeodera is a genus of Metallic Wood-boring Beetles. There are approximately 257 species in this genus, including about 25 species in Europe. They are characterized by the absence of elythra and a large pronotum. The larvae live in the wood of trees and shrubs. The adults feed on flowers.
Distribution: Turkey, Greece, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Cyprus.
This specimen was sitting on Convolvulus sp., and like many of the Acmaeoderini attacked by mites.

A fine macro of this small Buprestid beetle that not only is covered by white pollen but seems to have one adult and two nymph mites either as passengers or parasites.
Excellent DOF, sharpness, POV colours and composition.
