Here a colorful couple of glaphyrid beetles. I could not find the complete ID, because this family is not very easy and remains quite unknown in the entomologic publications.

Pygopleurus sp.
Family: Glaphyridae

Pygopleurus is a genus of the family Glaphyridae, which includes 6 genera and about 190 species in the Holoarctic region of which only one (Lichnanthe) in the Neoarctic region.
The genus Pygopleurus Mots. can be distinguish by the shape of scutellum, a elongate triangle with acute apex. It occurs in Southern and Eastern Europe (former Yugoslavia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey), Caucasus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi.
49 distinct species have been described by J. Baraud.
A few external characters can be used for the systematic of the Pygopleurus. Only the unique shape of the male copulatory organs can distinguish each species.

BARAUD, J. (1989). Revision of the genus Pygopleurus Motschulsky (Coleoptera : Scarabaeoidea :Glaphyridae) Annales de la Société Entomologique de France (N. S.) 23: 331-375.

Ciao Catherine, fantastic macro of wonderful colorful lovers, fine details and superb sharpness, I like a lot, have a good week end, my friend, ciao Silvio

Good evening dear Cathy. It is difficult for me to resist the chance to drop a line or two here. Wonderful and unknown for me species! They just look like an expensive jewelers don't they? If you excuse me once again I am presenting my version of this image. I hope that you like it! The colors in your image looks a bit washed, if I can use that word! In my opinion of course! Have a great week Cathy!

P.S. Unfortunately I have used my daily limit for downloading! Perhaps tomorrow is another day!
Peace and Love,
George Veltchev

Good evening Catherine,
I missed this fine macro of these two beetles in copulo. Judging by the colours and sizes, there is some sexual dimorphism. Nice technically with a good POV showing the details in a good composition on the composite flower.
Thanks and have a good week,

Hi Catherine. These love mates are just wonderful in details in the frame. The hairy bodies are so sharp and very well defined. Love the exposure and focus in this shot. Have a nice day shooting and warmest regards - Jusni

Bonjour Cathetrine,
