[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A Threadwing Antlion, Nemoptera sinuata, on Samos. A couple of years ago I posted a rather poor picture of this species from the acropolis at Sardis in Turkey. Thanks on that occasion to Nigel for for the ID. Now here they are again, on the very same white flowers (ID anyone?), on the Greek island of Samos at sea level. They were numerous.
Lighting and conditions were favourable, although there was a breeze that resulted in many blurred shots.

A very nice picture of this Nemoptera. I like the point of view and the good manage of the control of the light plus composition.

Marvellous capture! The wing formation is well captured.

Hello Geoffrey,
Your last photo may not have been to your standards, but you nailed it this time. A beautiful specimen captured in fine detail and lovely color tones. The wing markings are gorgeous and I like its long trailing tails.
