LONG DISTANCE JUPMER
My comments? Good shot...I like the darkness of it...very much so..it borderlines on entering another time...a strange way to describe an image, but it is almost a symbolic image as if it belonged in a Gothic fairy tale...and yet it is true nature...or is it? How far does science go in your mind before it remembers that science was born from Philosophy back in Greek times! Great shot and gives me much pause for thought!
Hi My friend Radek, great shot of this baby Agile frog which is also found in Turkey (Turkish Thrace and northern parts of Anatolia). It is realy best jumper frog because its hind legs very long amongst the all brown frogs [the length of tibio-tarsal joint extends beyond the tip of the head:>]. Great details on the skin with its characteristic features my friend! Well done!
Greetings from Izmir:>
A great capture of a young Agile Frog, species that we have in the very South of Sweden. Excellent POV, pose, sharpness and skillful use of flash to illuminate the subject without making the BG too dark.
Nice one, and thanks for sharing it,
Regards from Agile Frog country,

Bayram already wrote that it occurs also in Turkish Thrace and North Anatolia. We also have another brown frogs or mountain frogs: R. camerani, R. macrocnemis, R. m. holtzi (sometimes as R. holtzi) too. This is best one among them, with superb colors. You also captured it with a great macro. Sharp details, POV and composition great. good informative notes. TFS, best wishes my friend

bardzo ladne ujecie, super kompozycja, naturalne ciemne swiatlo i kolory dodaja uroku. Ladnie wygladaja refleksy swiatla na wilgotnej skorze zabki, wyglada jakby zaraz miala wyskoczyc z kadru. Well done!

Very cute little baby frog, which at firstI didn't notice, because it was hidden in the dark of the thumbnail :-). But I have to say that it is a real beauty with the golden reflections on the skin and the eyes. And an agile jumper too ..a lot of advantages for life!
Have a nice afternoon

Once more fantastic image of a cute animal. I do not know what is the best: frog or BG. Wonderful soft BG. I almost can feel its velvetness. Image of the frog and stone stage are amazing in all respects too. POV and framing also are the best. Bravo. Perfect shot taken with love to nature and highest skill.

Ciao Radomir, great capure of beautiful frog, wonderful details and splendid sharpness, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio
Hi Radomir, again,
yes, that's it, a really typical picture for R. dalmatina. The pig eyes, the long hind legs. Its excellent to have left the picture a little on the dark side as is, that makes the pigment cells on the snout stand out. In turn, your picture series encourages me to send another amphibian shot, as usual from my garden pond and therefore not of any rare species.
By the way: R. dalmatina used to be known in Switzerland from only two sites back in 1980, but today at least 38 wide apart sites are known. My interpretation is that people back in the eighties did'nt know how to distinguish the species. Pictures like yours go a long way to promote knowledge!
