I remember you posting this species before as it happens to be a favourite of mine! Your capture is excellent showing it in a lovely pose on the fern. Excellent sharpness too and beautiful colours, although I wonder if this is sligthly over-saturated with a bluish tint. But maybe that's how they look like down south!

Perfect butterfly-shot. A classical presentation showing a lateral view of this very beautiful Coenonympha species. Lovely green leaves (fern?) too which give a graphical aspect to your shot. Again bravo!

I have seen this butterfly for the first time and it is a real beauty, Chris! What colours and markings on its beautiful wings!

Fantastic bright image with awesome clarity and impressive depth of field friend Christodoulos! In my opinion following my own senses the colors here, specially those of the background can be slightly suppressed. The blue cast around the butterfly body does not look natural I think as well!
