Hola Markus,

Hi Markus,
A nice capture of this rock sculpture which looks like an ice age mammoth's statue. Excellent view with very good composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Markus,
very well seen my friend, excellent POV to show this natural sculpture. I wonder if it has a local name referring to this, or you are the first to spot this?? Great details and natural colours, well done.

Hi Markus,
a beautiful one and its a mammoth one. Nice lighting and the stone formation is seen in well textured details.
The shot also give a pleasant combination of light and straight colours.
Always have something interesting from you.
Regards,
Foozi

Your ability to pick out patterns is well suited for this image. I too enjoy doing this, however there is no way I have your eye. You are indeed the Master of this type of imaging!

Lieber Markus,
Entdecke mit Freude Dein Bild der Griechischen Steinelefanten. Ich sehe mindestens drei, wenn nicht vier. Wirklich überraschend, dieses Bild.
Wie immer schöner Bildaufbau und feine Bildschärfe.
Hast Du etwas von Dieter gehört? Schon lange nichts mehr von ihm gesehen.
Nächste Woche sind wir meistens im Chalet.
Herzliche Grüsse und einen schönen Abend
Anne

Hallo Markus
I personally don't think anybody can appreciate scenery like this to its best, until you have seen it in real. The finest photographers can capture and share their work with the greatest detail, but there is nothing like the real thing. For us, that is not fortunate to see these wonderful sightings for real have to thank photographers like you for bringing these scenes into the luxury of our homes. This is absolutely amazing looking at these perfectly shaped and formed rock formations. It is also wonderful to look far back and see the contours of these formations in shades of greys. An all around super shot, which only deserves praise and congratulations, and once again remind ourselves of the wonder of this beautiful Creation.
Best regards
Anna

Salut Markus,
Wahnsinn, Dein Elephant!

Hi Markus.
I like the natural color in your shots not putting too much emphasis on digital saturation. This rather subdued image captured the tone of the pictures beautifully and the traces of green surrounding this elephant's head is just amazing.
Thanks for sharing and best regards.

Hello Markus,
I just had a look at your gallery and saw that I had missed this remakable shot!
An amazing rock formation that indeed looks like an elephant and the high forehead even suggests a mammoth! The POV is just right to give that impression that is also helped by the lighting.
Unusual and impressive!
Thanks and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yes, from this angle, it does resemble an elephant or Mammoth.
I started a series of photos of natural features (mostly rock and stone) that resembled faces or people. "simulacra" is the name academics give.

Markus,
A great capture, indeed.
One needs to have a "natural" ability to "see" beauty in nature; you have been given this great bounty.
Thanks for sharing this image with the world.
Mario.
