Hello,

My 1st zoo photo, and probably not that bad one. Made yesterday in the zoo of Budapest about the lookdown (Selene vomer), a fantastic-looking fish which ias common in the tropical Atlantic Ocean.

Photo made through the glass of the aquarium, handheld, no flash. PP (Ulead Photoimpact): auto levels, moderate cropping, canvas, re-sizing, noise reduction, slight sharpening. I hope you'll like my first fish (and debut zoo) photo, thanx in advance for your comments.

Not bad ....not bad indeed, my old friend Laszlo! How are you today?
Well, far ...far away from the fungus, in fact to far away on the other site
of the scale, we have a gorgeous presentation of a incredible species with
the exotic name Lookdown! Love the colors here and the brilliant contrast,
and yet we have well preserved shadows and highlights ... nice framing and
balanced composition ...truly lovely image! Bravo my friend!
Regards,
George Veltchev

Hi Lazlo,
a nice picture of a colourful fish.
It's not bad as George mention, it's not easy to take picture through glass, the best way is to hold the lens tight to the glass, it will be like a filter and you also avoid reflections and definitive not use flash.
Well done, old friend.
Have a nice WE and Eastern.

/Gert

Hi Laszlo,
I really like the way the light played out on the fish.
Great colors and details... and I totally appreciate the difficulty of photographing through glass with minimal light.
Very interesting creature. TFS. : )

Hi Laszlo,i don't like pics taken in the zoo but this is very strange and original, the lights and the colors are very impressives and i know how isn't easy to do so behind a glass, low light and fish in mouvement.Excellent work,i wish you the best Happy Easter and thanks for share,Luciano

Hi Laszlo.
You managed to reflect all beauties of the fish and surroundings amazingly. Colour shades, lights and darks, shapes of the fish and other its details are excellent as well as composition of the image at whole. I have never shoot the fishes and I like your result a lot. My kind regards and best wishes.
Alexei.

Hy Laszlo
There is a lot of pp after taking an image through the glass, in the aquarium. But your first result is good, of an interesting species, with strong color-reflections. Well done!

Kind regards,
Oana

Hi Laszlo, congratulations for the picture, very nice colors and details on the subject, you captured in this shot,

have a good day,

ciao, tino
