Hello gals / guys,

a couple of days ago I wrote to my Malaysian Friend foozi that I have a sunset fungi image in my archives and I share it soon. So, time came, and I dedicate the pic to the talented photographer and kind person named above. Foozi, thanks for being here and thanks for sharing Your great work!

ID specification: Xerocomus communis (Krombh.) Quél., a smaller bolete, from Xerocomus genus, where species are very difficult (but with a bit of experience possible) to isolate from each other without microscope. Distribution: Eurasia. Mycorrhiza with deciduous trees, mostly with oak (Quercus) and lime (Tilia). Not common. Edible.

Story: we visit this park named "People's Garden" very often with my children, because there are great playgrounds in it + they can ride bicycle without any danger. On that August day we just started to go home, when I observed this fruitbody on the roadside (the distance between the fungus and the promenade was less than 2 meters), and it was awesome in the sunset lights.

Photo: little color correction, because I felt the "golden sunset tone" a bit too much, sharpening the fungus, gaussian blur to the background, framing, signing, re-sizing. I hope You'll like it.

Hello Laszlo,
I love the tones of browns and greens in this photo.
The underside of this bolete looks just like a Crunchie bar too.
A lovely environmental shot.
Cheers and thanks for shearing ;)

Hi Laszlo,
thank you very much for the dedication. Indeed it is such a big surprise to me as it worths a lot. Really appreciate it. Honestly I was thinking of posting one fungi for you, because I really appreciate your critique, tips on how to execute a good shot, encouraging words and also your knowledge on fungi itself. To me, it is such a friendship that touches me.
This fungi shot is exciting to me, the overall shot gives a graphical presentation of lines and colours.
The surrounding is very well kept, shown and instructive.
Most of all, the fungi is very unique and different. Thanks for kind thought.
