Dear Trekkers,

Today, 17 of March, is a national holiday in Ireland, known as St. Patrick's Day. It was dry and snowless in Midleton, where I live - but 5 years ago, in 2013, we had massive snow in the Hungarian mountains. My favourite rock Kรถpรผs-kล‘ was also covered with snow. As we got sunshine as well, we had a really memorable trip with my father and son - the last for me as a resident in Hungary, because 3 days later I re-located to Ireland.

Photo was shot in manual exposure mode, through PP I adjusted levels and contrast.

Thanks for looking.

PS: I just realized it's my 400th photo on TN.

Hi Laszo,i seen on TV the green lights in most town of the world to celebrate this important day for Ireland, and green rays too on the Colosseum of Rome. But you show us a very important memory too before to leave your country, beautiful winter view from your walk,a neverending perspective to celebrate your 400th post on TN,i like it! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹ Laszlo,

๐ŸŽŠ Congratulation for your 400th pictures โ˜บ.

5 years old picture โ˜บ. Quite well captured to show the beauty of the day. But to me this landscape looks bit boring, flat and lack of eye catching composition which help to stand out a photograph. Good idea to give more importance on the foreground than flat clean sky. But foreground doesn't look such attractive to me.
Thanks for sharing your work with us ๐Ÿ˜Š
Regards and have a nice weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Dear Laszlo,
emotionally moving view over the snowy hills of eastern Hungary on a bright and very clear day in late winter of 2013. The valley is leading the spectator's view far out into the distant plains. The warm brown hues of naked deciduous trees are embraced by the cold blue of distance and the patch of snow in the foreground. Your picture is telling the ambiguous story of farewell to your beloved homeland Hungary, and the excitement immediately before the daring step of starting a new life in the distant and quite different country Ireland that now has become a beloved second homeland to you.
Cheers to the Irish Hungarian on St. Patrick's day - and to your 400th posting to TN!
With best regards,
Peter

Ciao Laszlo, fascinating landscape with fantastic mountains, wonderful natural colors, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Laszlo,

Thw wideness of the area is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the hils and of the mountains. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
