[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Captured on Iceland with 20D @ 100mm, handheld from a boat. This is the view of the volcano area which Jules Verne wrote about in the book "Journey To The Center Of The Earth".
I was on the boat looking for dolphin & wales to photograph. The day was really cold and dark. It was early in the morning and last trip for this boat for this year. We had a luck to see some dolphins and wales looking for they breakfast.
On the way back to Reykjavik I saw this beautiful view and interesting play of light.
I hope you like it :)

p.s. This shot is not underexposed. I have calibrated 24" monitor on my work and work in producing the fashion magazines...

Hi Ralf,
Outstanding shot. Superbly captured and presented. Fabulous place to be in and you have depicted the environment, feel and the mood splendidly. The dark clouds and the deep blue waters are separated by the stunning sun rays. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Ralf, wonderfully captured seascape. Quite dramatic with those heavy clouds and the window of light on the horizon with the volcano strategically placed.

What a really nice picture showing the dramatic scenery and weather patterns.

I just had one thought on the presentation and that was if you had cropped out some of the sea and upper cloud, you could have got the LP post and allowed us to see a much larger version which I would have really liked to see. Not a crit, just a thought...
