|Field road in Reykjavik. Shot taken at night, ca. 00:30 past midnight when its still bright in Reykjavik in the summer. The evaporating scents from plants and the humid air were fantastic after the rain. I took a biking tour and then walked up the hill this road to take a few night shots, as the night panorama from the hill was also breathtaking. The blue flowers are lupins, which are so abundant in Iceland and grow nearly everywhere.|
The nights are very short in Reykjavik now: sun sets at 23:48 (as for 8th of June), just minutes before midnight and it rises at 03:07, just after three hours...and even these 3 hours of the nighttime are quite bright as you see...

I was asthonished when i saw the time you shot the picture. But in Reykjavik, night images get a different point of view.
Must have been nice to walk there with the amazing florishing flowers along the road.
Best regards Georgs

Amazing picture, great color.
This is just so beautiful. I wish I could be there to witness it myself. It must be wonderful to walk though a path having a spectacular sight like this on both sides. I can only but imagine all the insect life in between all those purple flowers. Purple is my favourite colour and I even have a theme by names of “My purple obsession”. This lovely image is going straight there where it rightfully belongs. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scene. It made my day, in one than more way. Best regards.
