- Fratercula arctica -
Le macareux moine dispose de courtes ailes très propices à la nage mais beaucoup moins au vol.
La faible portance le contraint donc à battre des ailes très rapidement pour se déplacer dans les airs, ce qui lui donne une allure typique.
Il est capable de s'envoler soudainement du sol, mais aussi courir sur la surface de l'eau pour prendre les airs.

Hi Laurent. We so often see them on the rocks this is somthing different. A great action shot. A good sence of movement . Taken with fine detail and natural colours. well done TFS.

Such a lovely dynamic capture of a Fratercula on take-off Laurent, the parts in motion produce an impressive feeling of propagation while the pin sharp head adds substance to this finely framed image. TFS it indeed!
