[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In order from left to right:
??, Viola Odorata
Anemone Nemorosa, Primula vulgaris.

As something different I decided to write in the note uses for these plants.

Viola odorata:
The edible leaves can be harvested all year round, and the edible flowers are produced in late winter and early spring.
The leaves have a very mild, almost bland flavour and can be used in quantities in salads. The texture is slightly tough. The leaves can also be cooked, and are a nice addition to soups or stews where they will help to thicken them.
The flowers have a strong scent and taste and make a superb and decorative addition to salads

Sweet violets have various medicinal uses. It has a strong folk reputation in the treatment of cancer and whooping cough. It also contains salicylic acid, which is used to make aspirin, and is therefore effective in the treatment of headaches, migraine and insomnia. An essential oil from the flowers and leaves is used in perfumery and the flowers themselves are used to flavour breath fresheners.

Primula Vulgaris:
Edible Parts: Flowers; Leaves.

Edible Uses: Tea.

Young leaves - raw or cooked as a potherb, added to soups. A mild flavour, though the texture is a bit tough. The leaves are often available all through the winter. Flowers - raw or cooked. They make an attractive garnish to salad, and can also be used as a cooked vegetable or in conserves. Picked when first opened, the flowers are fermented with water and sugar to make a very pleasant and intoxicating wine. Both the flowers and the leaves can be made into a syrup or a tea.
Primroses have medicinal use and has been employed in treating conditions involving spasms, cramps, paralysis and rheumatic pains. The plant contains saponins, which have an expectorant effect, and salicylates which are the main ingredient of aspirin and have anodyne, anti-inflammatory and febrifuge effects. This remedy should not be prescribed for pregnant women, patients who are sensitive to aspirin, or those taking anti-coagulant drugs such as warfarin. The roots and the flowering herb are anodyne, antispasmodic, astringent, emetic, sedative and vermifuge. An infusion of the roots is a good remedy against nervous headaches. The roots are harvested in the autumn when two or three years old and dried for later use. An ointment has been made from the plant and used for treating skin wounds.

For anemone nemorosa there are only medicinal uses:
The leaves are antirheumatic, rubefacient and tonic. The plant is sometimes used externally as a counter-irritant in the treatment of rheumatism. The herb is gathered in spring before the plant comes into flower. Various parts of this herb used to be recommended for a variety of complaints such as headaches and gout, though the plant is virtually not used nowadays. A homeopathic remedy has been made from the leaves

Hi Catalin, you are doing a great job with your TN portfolio. These flowers add more interest to viewing you wonderful photos. Your notes are excellent. My mother used to be treated with boiled nettles to purify her blood and help against Xema. Lovey shots.

Beautiful collage of wild flowers, nice work and well put together. TFS

Hi Catlin,
Wonderfully arranged frame.
Great work

Foarte frumos montajul, asa cum au mai spus si altii, sus in stanga e o specie de Salix, respectiv inflorescente mascule (cu stamine) - amenti sau matisori (in romaneste). E super, visez si eu sa fac ceva postere pentru studenti cu specii vernale, estivale, autumnale, etc.
Imi plac, culorile sunt naturale iar fiecare fotografie are echilibrul ei. Foarte bine si felicitari. Si grupajul cu cei doi ratoi si ratusca e reusit. Bravo. Numai bine, Cezar.

Hola Catalín,
Precioso collage primaveral, todas la imagenes son de gran belleza, precioso color y excelente nitidez. Un cordial saludo
