Hello Trekkers,

This is my 1st butterfly shot made in Ireland, it shows the species Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria). Although a common b-fly everywhere in Europe (including my home country, Hungary), I managed to capture it quite rarely, because (s)he doesn't sit on one flower too much. I had luck with this specimen: (s)he was quiet and was decently waiting me for doing some pics.

Photo: taken in the park of Mallow town, Cork county; in shutter priority mode. PP: adjusting levels and contrast.

I hope you'll like the pic.

Hello Laszlo,

I was expecting your first Irish butterfly to be green and with a shamrock logo on each wing! Fantastic capture of this Speckled Wood on Irish greenery. Impressive sharpness throughout and in fine light producing rich and earthy hues. Well done!

Hallo Laszlo
I don't know how you guys do it. If I start approaching a butterfly it is gone before I get anywhere nearly close to it. Good diagonal composition with excellent details and colours. I love the green and the earthy brown together. Very well taken. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
