Hi Trekkers,

Due to many problems (health issue, changing accomodation, lack of internet access for a while and most of all lack of sparetime) I had to almost completely abandon my TrekNature activity in 2016. Now I'm back and hopefully can stay. In the meantime, although haven't been here on the site, I managed to visit a lot of interesting places in South-west Ireland, and made some photos which I probably post later.

First of the series is Mizen Head, the most south-western point of Ireland - usually the seafarers' first, or the last sight of Europe, but known more as an important lighthouse, signal and weather station. See more in the wikipedia article and on the official website. In my opinion Mizen Head's one of the most enchanting tourist attractions of Ireland and is definitely worth a visit if you're here, even if you have to drive more than 2 hours (and the same back) to reach it from the Cork city area.

Photo was taken from one of the outlook points and shows the sight to North. Manual exposure mode, pp: moderate cropping, level and color adjustment, after re-sizing slight sharpening with Neat Image. On the workshop image you can see the emblematic bridge of Mizen Head and the steps to the outlook point where my shot was taken (the one visible on the photo faces South).

Thanks for your attention and comments.

Hello Laszlo,
A gorgeous seascape image from the Ireland coast line. The overall composition is quite eye pleasing. I love the deep blue water, reminds me of the color of the water in Hawaii. How pretty to see the white foam surrounding the rock out croppings as the waves come crashing in.
I have never been to Ireland, but it appears to have some wonderful sea views.

Ciao Laszlo, fascinating landscape with fantastic cliffs, wonderful natural colors, superb sky, splendid light snd excellent clarity, very well done, my friend, have a good Sunday, ciao Silvio

Hello Laszlo,
Beautiful photograph. Well depth of field. But the color of the sea water looks too deep blue if you compare with the sky. Is it natural!
Thanks for sharing with informative NOTE,
regards and wish you good health,

Hello Laszlo,
I added this photo to my favorite list because those landscape images with stones and sea are "killing me".....Breathtaking landscape with exceptional clarity and DOF.

Hi Laszlo
Wild and beautiful landscape.
The well located horizon allows to appreciate a wide range of rocks and ocean from a favourable viewpoint.

Hello László

Spectacular landscape/seascape scenery, fine POV and framing
for a beautiful perspective, great DOF and contrast, TFS
