Thank you very much for your comments on my previous post. Its title was the question "can clouds be pink"? So, I ask now something again...
Serbian Spruce (Picea omorika (Pančić) Purk.) is a conifer native only in the Tara Mountains, Bosnia / Serbia, but planted worldwide in parks, gardens - this is one of the two specimens in the Fota Arboretum, Ireland. Immature female cones are purplish (while male ones are pink or pinkish brown), so the tree is very spectacular in late spring with this contrast against the dark green needles.
Photo: taken in my beloved Fota Arboretum, with manual exposure mode and white balance, f/8, 1/500 sec., ISO 80. PP: no major change, just re-sizing to the TN-standard and re-sharpening selectively.
Thanks for looking.
As I didn't find any image of this species here after searching, it's the first time Picea omorika is on TN. Hard to believe... |

Hi Laszlo,a first time after many years of the existence of treknature is always a great satisfaction! And it's a great choice too to show this beautiful moment for the immature cones, they will be brown as usual, but in this moment are a great show with this bright purple, very well done and top sharpness as usual! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
