Rivers and streams, where they are unpolluted, are frequently host to a rich variety of mosses and liverworts and those little organism that often find there way under my microscope. Il not lecture you with the micro biology stuff just yet thou :p

I took this shot of a stream somewhere in the wicklow mountains not far from Dublin last year. I was just trying afew shots of motion blur with my Rebel back then.

Its nothing special more of a test back then but I hope you like it anyhow it was a first attempt for me.

I love shots like this Stephen,
Everything looks so soft and calming.
I'm going to have to find a good location to try one of these myself.
Thanks for posting

Excellent Stephen! Great sharpness, color & your POV has zeroed-in on the waters action very well. This 1 sec. shutter-time has produced a neat surreal effect IMO. Well done!

Very nice shot Stephen. Good composition with nice colors and sharpness. Nice note. Good job.

Nice contrast between the three different textuers of the water, transparent in the upper, blured in the middle and translucid in the lower part. With my F8 I can only get low speeds at fall. I wish I had higher F values, I love long exposures. Nice stream composition, Thanks!

Superbe photo une chute délicate mais très jolie. Les couleurs et la vitesse parfaites, bonne effet. Merci et bonne journée.

Stephen, nice shot of this stream. I am always trying these long exposure shots of moving water to smooth it out. A nice composition here.

Stephen, I've already tried this kind of shot, but so far I wasn't successful. F/8 is the maximum in my camera, so that I think there would be overexposure.

Not only because of this technical stuff I like your picture. It is very beautiful. It's poetic and gives us a sense of tranquility and peace.

Great job.

Stephen, I would still like to try this technique. You did a great job with it. Lovely scene. Wish I was there! :)
