[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This ophrys, also known as O. carbonifera ssp. biscutella, is endemic to S. Italy, and found mostly in the Gargano area. Its name come for the two shield-like patterns on its labellum. The species is far from uniform.

Hello Ishi,
This beautiful orchid certainly lives up to it's name, as the labellum really does resemble a shield. I love it's colors and the focus is tac sharp. Perfect exposure and composed in a attractive vertical frame work. Well done!!
