Nome Volgare: Esperide delle dune minore

Famiglia: Hesperiidae

Sottofamiglia: Hesperiinae

Lunghezza ala anteriore mm. 13-15

Maschio: colore bruno scuro uniforme.

Femmina: simile al maschio ma pił grande. Presente una serie di spazi postdiscali chiari nelle ali anteriori.

Rovescio: colore bruno grigiastro con spazi postdiscali chiaro pił evidenti nelle ali anteriori.

Distribuzione: Tutta la penisola e le isole.

Habitat: specie xerotermofila, si rinviene in luoghi caldi dal litorale al piano montano sino a circa 1600 metri s.l.m.

Generazioni annuali: due con sfarfallamento degli adulti in giugno-luglio e agosto-settembre.

Piante nutrici: Imperata cylindrica, Cymbopogon hirtus
