I think one of the most beautiful Ophryses I've ever seen . . . . Till now
I found it on the peninsula Gargano. A very orchid-rich part of Italy.

Très belle macro finement détaillée et délicatement coloré de cet Ophrys tenthredinifera également connu sous les noms d'Ophrys tenthredinifera Willd, Ophrys à grandes fleurs, Ophrys Guêpe, Ophrys Tenthrède.

phantastic image, so very powerfully approached - with wealthy details and delightfully deep colours! My congratulations! A most beautiful Ophrys that I have not seen yet. Love to see those well hidden and rare orchids, we do have some similar ones (O. holoserica, O. apiformis) near Vienna in May - but only in a few - and rather secret - places.

I totally agree with your suggestions of improval. The image was not intending to portray that flower in detail but just a quick snapshot while going up the mountains in order to catch "the feeling" up there.
