This Horned Bee Orchid is known by different names such as Ophrys scalopax ssp. cornuta, or, in Gargano, Ophrys oestrifera ssp. montis- garagani.
It is a lovely, quite large Ophrys, with typical "horns" at the base of the 15 mm lip. The sepals are usually pink, but the two specimens we found had white sepals. Please see the WS, too. |
