Himantoglossum robertianum
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Definitely not a delicate orchid, but a rather robust and even coarse one, but tsill an orchid. This early blooming orchid was originally classified in its own genus, Barlia. It is now added to the Himantoglossum, but the central lobe of the lip is rather short in this case. The plant may reach 70 cm in height. Please see the entire plant in the WS, along with close up of several flowers of the inflorescence. |
