Here is another one of Gargano many Ophrys species.The name comes from Incubus, a Roman male demon appearing in ladies' nightmares, referring to the labellum dark background. The species can be distinguished from other similar species of the sphegodes group by the two prominent spikes at the base of the labellum. |
