I first didn't want to comment on this butterfly that I am familiar with. Then I read your note. This was really instructive and interesting. So with much humility but also pleasure I add my points.
Hello 👋 Luciano,
Nice to see 'Comma' butterfly 🦋 once again ☺. Well captured with good details and exposure. But in somehow to me looks bit boring 💤 😔
The most dramatic wildlife photos usually includes a very simple and non - distracting background. The goal is to highlight your subjects and make them stand out. Photos with cluttered and distracting background cause your subject to get lost in the photograph.
Another thing ☺ in my humble opinion - a good photo needs to grab attention and there are several ways to achieve it - such as, EMPLOYING DRAMATIC LIGHTING or INJECT EMOTION or EYE CATCHING COMPOSITION which I don't see it here. You are older than me here in Treknature ☺, so I can expect it from you 😉
You have posted this species before, so here I would like to see the same species in different way;I mean SOMETHING which will attract viewer.
Thanks for sharing your work with us 😊
Regards and have a nice weekend 🙂
I see the first butterflies already woke up from hybernation and as usual, they're the c-albums. I partially disagree now with Srikumar, I mean I found the purple leaves visually attractive, what stand against the bright, warm tone butterfly quite well. For me the background isn't busy, especially as most of it is well blurred. I also like the classical composition, IMHO it works well here. Anyway, people are different, so are their opinions. ☺ In mine, this is a good photo, what I like.
Kind regards, László
