Quando ho scattato questa foto, aveva appena cominciato a piovere.
Si notano alcune piccole gocce d'acqua sui fiori e sul dorso del maschio.

COLEOPTERA, CERAMBYCIDAE (LONGHORN BEETLES)

Clytus rhamni Germar, 1817

Body length: 6 - 12 mm

Head black. Pronotum black with front and hind margins yellow. Elytra black with a pattern of yellow stripes. Legs yellowish-brown with femora dark. Antennae yellowish-brown, short.

Clytus rhamni is an Europen species mainly distributed in the South of the continent, where it is a very common flower-visitor.

C. rhamni is polyphagous on deciduous trees (Quercus, Castanea, Ulmus, Ficus, Pistacia, Robinia etc.). Larvae feed in the dead wood of branches and twigs of small diameter.

Adults in May – August.

C. rhamni è un elemento mediterraneo, termofilo ed eliofilo, legato agli ambienti prevalentemente costieri, e si sviluppa in rami morti o deperienti di essenze varie.
E' specie xilofaga e polifaga, prevalentemente legata alle piante legnose deperenti della "macchia mediterranea" (leccio, lentisco, ecc.).

L’adulto si incontra in Sicilia sui fiori da maggio a luglio.

Ciao Marcello,
when I saw this picture, I immediately was stimulated to create a Theme on Cerambycidae, also because I posted a naumber of relevant pictures. However, the Theme already existed - you know the creator!
So, I can 'only' admire this nice picture of the rhamni-couple.
These are very vivid beetles, once disturbed. I think you were rather patient and calm to take this picture!

Preciosa toma Marcello, llena de vida y belleza. Tal como nos tienes acostumbrados , un buen enfoque y sobre todo una profundidad muy conseguida. Bueno el detalle del encuadre algo alto para que puedan apreciarse esas flores.
Por aquí ya empiezan a verse los primeros insectos de la temporada.
