Beautiful details! WOW! It's very difficult to get a perfect focus on something so small.
A very nice shot and very good details on the flower. But if I were, I took it with a little bit bigger f value like (7 or 8) to make very sharp rear leaves of the flower. However an attractive work. Congratulations and TFS.

Very fine capture of this beautiful Ophrys. A species I haven't seen before. Sicily seems to be great for Orchids!
Many thanks, Ulla

Hi Anita, splendid flower with wonderful colors, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio
Looking through your gallery I see a lot of orchids; your passion no doubt.
This is a great species but I feel it could have done with a bit more DOF to get the rear of the flower in focus, perhap f16 or 22. And with the 400D you can easily increase the ISO from 200 to 800 and not have to worry about grainy background. Experiment with ISO and DOF and maybe a small tripod, you'll be surprised.
Also I feel its a little over exposed on top of the column. Try setting the EV to -0.5 or -1, especially if you in a sunny field. Hope that's not too critical.
A beautiful species.
