Hi Marcello,

Looks like spring really did arrive in Italy.
Overhere in the Netherlands we don't have these wonderful moments to photograph yet, but hopefully it will not take that long anymore.

Lovely macro you are showing us here.
Love the colors and clarity.
Excellent sharpness and exposure due to which the details are wonderfully visible.
Very wel done. TFS!!!

Best regards, Harry

Hello Marcello,
I've never seen a Hoverfly in Sweden with such lovely stripes on the eyes! I expect its too cold here. It reminds me of one that Ram has posted earlier.
Brilliant capture showing very sharp details and all is nicely in focus. It looks really good inside the pretty flower. Well done!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Marcello,
very well done close-up of this hoverfly. The insect is captured perfectly sharp. You can even see the patterns on the wing. It's very interesting to see the eyes of an hoverfly this close. The stripes look great.

Eccezionale!

Hello Marcello,

Splendid shot of this syrphid fly. Great sharpness. Wonderful detail. Excellent composition. Colours are superb too. Hope to be able to see one this year.
Cheers,
Mariki

Saludos y perfecto trabajo. JL

Great sharp and detail, wonderful color and composition. TFS

Ciao Marcello,
Ciao e grazie.
Angelo

What an absolutelt stunning shot. I like the way the white petals frame the intense clarity of the flie.

Hi Marcello,
Outstanding shot with such amazing colours and sharp details. I like the way the hoverfly sits there at the cool comfort of the flower. Superb light and exposure management and the image is so pleasant to the eyes. The sheen on its wings and the gorgeous striped eye makes it look so beautiful. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Marcello,
I think both of us are into Hoverflies these days :-).
There are plenty of them around and of different varieties. I have so many macros of them I don't know what to do with them.
Your Eristalinus with zig-zag marks on the eyes is captured very well. The focus is sharp and spot-on on the entire subject and the colours are very natural.
Thanks for sharing it and I would like to see some more from Italy.
Regards.
Ram

Hi Marcello, this is a very excellent macro of this Syrphid. Some of these look so much like a bee or wasp, it becomes difficult (for me anyway) to distinguish them without seeing them in a shot like this. The detail in this shot of yours is extremely good with excellent colour seen on the fly and the flower. Your crop of the flower I think was a good choice in presenting to us what was important with the fly. Very nicely done.

Thanks, John

Hi Marcello, again,
I would like to see this interesting hoverfly once, and then achieve the stunning result in photography like you! It's masterfully composed, the very sharp fly had to be in the center, in the halo ofthe flower. The light is excellent!
Best regards
Dietrich
