Schizophyllum commune Fr.

Etimologia
Schizophyllum = con le lamelle che si sdoppiano (dal greco: skhizo = dividere, fendere, fullon = lamella),
commune = comune, frequente.

Questo fungo, molto comune, cresce su tronchi secchi per quasi tutto l’anno. Il carpoforo, munito di un corto peduncolo laterale, si presenta come una conchiglia, con un cappello biancastro e finemente villato, con diametro da 1 a 4 cm. circa, che si apre a ventaglio. Ciň che rende un capolavoro estetico questo fungo č il fatto che le lamelle, di un bel colore rosa, sono disposte a raggiera, spaziate tra loro e scisse longitudinalmente in due parti. Talvolta si biforcano verso l'estremitŕ in prossimitŕ del margine incurvato del cappello.
