Since this year in northern Italy we have missed the winter season, I post an old summer picture taken in 2003:
many coloured flowers, in Val Troncea Park, hiking to Colle Banchetta.

Family:Boraginaceae
Diffusion:not frequent. From 2500 to 3500 m.
flowers in:July-August.
height of the plant:2 - 5 cm.
The flowers to the left:
Gentiana nivalis L.
Italian name:Genziana nivale
Family:Gentianaceae
Diffusion: Frequent. From 1600 to 2900 m.
Flowers in: June - August.
Height of the plant: 5 - 15 cm. |
