rambus perlella is a species of moth of the family Crambidae. It is found in Europe.
The wingspan is 19–28 mm. The moth flies from July to August depending on the location.
The larvae feed on various grasses. Adults feed on the nectar of Leucanthemum species.

La Crambus perlella Apertura alare 21-28 mm. Una specie di falena della famiglia delle Crambidae relativamente comune in Italia, tipicamente è di color bianco crema con una leggera lucentezza di seta. Vi è anche una forma diversa di colore bruno con delle marcate striature crema. Bivoltina, questa falena vola da maggio a settembre e si può trovare in prati e zone da pascolo. Gli adulti si nutrono del nettare di specie Leucanthemum.La ninfosi avviene appena sotto il livello del suolo.Le larve si nutrono delle basi di steli d'erba di Festuca e Deschampsia e altre Poaceae [Gramineae] (FONTE : http://gdoremi.altervista.org/crambidi/Crambus_perlella/index.html )

Hi Luciano, This is a very lovely moth with a nice silvery white colours on its body.....like a lady with a long gown. Great sharpness and details like usual. Thank for sharing

What a strange eyes. Great macro of this moth in difficult light and beautiful natural colours. Excellent sharpness, details and contrasting background.

Hi Luciano. How you managed an f-stop of 4.0 and got such a great DOF must be because of the fast shutter. Well done. It's the narrowest DOF you could have used to get the whole moth in focus. It's clear, sharp and complete. I good specimen shot. I especially love how well you can make out the eye and the colour of it. Love it! It's an unuasual look with it's narrow head too. TFS Trevor

Hi Luciano.
Selected low POV is superb and allows to show many attractive features of the moth. Shallow DOF and crisp sharpness of the insect image against natural and nicely blurred BG create a wonderful esthetic impression. TFS and warm regards.
