The Lacertidae are the family of the wall lizards, true lizards, or sometimes simply lacertas, which are native to Europe, Africa, and Asia. The group includes the genus Lacerta, which contains some of the most commonly seen lizard species in Europe. It is a diverse family with hundreds of species in 39 genera.

This beautiful green lizard looks all the splendor of his colorful scales on a log that shows every detail of his cracked bark. Congratulations!!!

Hi Jiri. Nice capture of this beautiful lizard on the tree trunk with natural colors and texture of his body. Sharpness specially of the front region is excellent and it is the main point of focus in this diagonal composition. Thanks for sharing
