|The nutria is a rodent. The head is big and the short muzzle. The feet are short to five fingers, provided of membrane natatoria. The hair is soft and of brown color brown. Lives and it is coupled long the shores of the lakes or rivers. In type the females bear from 4 to 6 small, that grow swiftly. The nutria is an excellent swimmer, be it is nourished mainly of grass, roots, tubers, leaves, and grains of cereals. It eats also the meat and the fish. The fur of these rodents is researched and therefore come hunted. Length: from 40 to 60 cm. Spread: in proximity of the course of fresh water. |
This is the scholastic explanation. I succeeded to approach alone because was a windy day and the noise of the pipes of the lagoon covered my steps. I am a lot suspicious. I photographed also of the small.
PS I chose this animal because yesterday in Caorle (Venice) was sighted and since resembles a lot to the pantegane the alarm in country flew off!!
