As I red carefully through the rules, I understood that here is not just a web-place where to show/store your best nature photos but also to write something about photo, so others can get usefull (or not ;) ) but information.
So this tern is captured near Daugava in central of Riga. These birds are not nesting on ground as in nature, but they are doing this on roofs. There was a big discussion about these birds because they where nesting on roof of a typography really near Daugava but owners wanted changed the material of the roof. So this roof became unusable for these birds. The question was if it is dome specially, because they wanted to get rid of them is not solved. Because the owners did not like thay they sometimes drop excrement on cars or kick they heads during they have young ones. After the new roof is put up owners did not allow to put some little bit of materials so it could be usable for terns. So they moved to another roof some km farther. Latvian wildlife studio (Vides filmu studija www.fvs.lv) has made a film about this. I hope you found this information interesting ;)
