[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sawfly larva (symphyta) curled up and hidden under a leaf of a rose bush ; some raindrop still clings in the curl of its tail.

I like the abstract green spiral that the larva is forming like some sprouting fruit. It was rainy this morning, and the larvae uses the leaf as a sort of umbrella in its own way. Background is clear but grey sky.

I could only get very sparse information on sawfly larva. I found one picture of Arge ochropus larva, which looked much alike. In my last post I noted that sawfly larvae resemble caterpillars but have large numbers of prolegs. This sawfly larva has also real composed eyes unlike caterpillars.

nice macro but a little more contrast would be nice. also a tad more sharpening on the larva.
