Hello my TN Friends!
Almost one month ago I posted my last picture here on TN. It was really bussy period of time for me, so I am very sorry for luck of comments to your great photos :)

The weather in Lodz is not good last days, only grey colours and rain all the time, so today I decided to present something more optimistic - a photo from last summer, from place where I spent a few days with my friends, and where many nice things were happened ;)
So here we are again in Macedonia, some 15 km SW from Skopje - in the Matka Canyon. This is a very unique place, both because of natural and cultural characters. It covers an area of about 5000 ha and was built by Treska River in Suva Mountains.

There are many different carst formations in the canyon, such as the karrens, flutes, valleys, cracks, crevices and caves. They have been formed by long term impact of the mountan rivers, as well as great temperature oscillations. And here on the photo you can see one of the results of wind and water erosion :)

In the Matka Canyon a very special monastery is also localized - St. Andrew's Monastery, placed on the bank of Lake Matka (the lake is not natural, and was formed as a result of builng of dam on Treska River).

As this picture has a geological character I would like to dedicate it to Bob Shannon (eqshannon) and his wife - great fans of all strange geological structures and forms :) I hope you will like it :)

Hi Radomir.
I suppose your busy working period was so fruitful as your trip to Macedonia :-))).
I should repeat your postcards (more exact landscape pictures) are great always. And this one is not exception. Great POV and framing, amazing colour palette and razor sharpness and details of the entire image. Of course, selected subject is superb. Thanks for your taste. Bravo and all my compliments.

Well done Radomir,

Wow...my wife the geologist has looked and explained to me in terms I am not familiar...but she was impressed...if there is one thing I know...if my wife is impressed, then it is good...A fine image and always glad to see you .

Hi Radomir
You've captured beautiful anticlines in your mountains landscape. Very rugged, with many different textures. I have a mountain photo that looks very similar if you would like to check it out.

Hi Radomir,
it's good to see you back on TN again. I like your latest contribution about landscapes of interesting and little known regions. The Suva mountains are again a revelation, thanks to your good slide. Your light is very soft, rosy, from the side, revealing the many contours. I have the impression that the picture was sharpened a little too much, giving a grainy structure to the mountain, but I might be wrong. Thanks for being with us again!
Best regards
