|This is a picture of a tip of a fig tree. In autumn new leaves sprout and start growing. The nice apple green colour on the young leaves signifies that plant chlorophyll is still being built up. When most chlorophyll has been built the fig leaf turns to a darker shade of green which maximises light absorbtion and efficiency of photosynthesis.|
